Community-Based Teaching Manager

The Bosma Community-Based Teaching program serves over 486 individuals!
Her job requires that she stay current on best practices in the field of vision rehabilitation. She also does public speaking on a wide variety of topics related to vision loss, especially in the area of mental health and self care.

Experience
Becky has several years experience working in business management and human resources. After moving from California to Indiana, she accepted a temporary position with a company that transcribed Braille for the IRS and educational institutions. Working with individuals with visual impairments, including Dr. Abraham Nemeth, inspired Becky and she realized she had found her new career.

We Can See (Support, Empower and Encourage), Lafayette, IN Monthly low-vision support group that Becky helped create to provide moral support and information
IRIS (Indiana Reading and Information Services) Becky volunteers on a monthly basis, reading the Recreation Information line for IRIS users
Becky is the proud parent of three grown children and a doting grandma to her new grandson. She is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
