COMS, Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Specialist

Bill Noll is one of two Orientation and Mobility instructors at Bosma Rehabilitation Center. His main role is to teach individuals the skills and techniques needed to travel as safely and independently as possible. Using functional assessment techniques, Bill determines whether the individual will benefit from a low-vision program or by learning to travel without the use of functional vision.
In addition, Bill performs assessments with individuals to determine if they are good candidates for a closed circuit television (CCTV). Individuals may find that using a CCTV enables them to achieve goals such as reading, writing checks, viewing pantry items or cooking directions, crafts and hobbies, etc.
Bill is a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) through the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals.
