Community-Based Instructor

Debbie Waller’s job is to get out of the office! As a Community-Based Instructor, she goes to the homes of clients, meets with them and together they determine the areas of need. She gives clients information about assistive technology devices, how to obtain them, and how they will help improve their level of independence.
She then writes a teaching plan incorporating the assistive technology devices and goals that she and the client have discussed. Debbie’s goal is to see the client every two weeks depending on the level of need.
The counties Debbie serves are Brown, Clay, Greene, Hendricks, Lawrence, Marion, Monroe,
Morgan, Owen, Putnam, Sullivan and Vigo.
