VRT - Personal Management Instructor

Kathy Emata has a long history with Bosma and the Bosma Rehabilitation Center, beginning with her first stint as Personal Management Instructor from 1984 to 1990.
After raising her family, Kathy rejoined the Bosma team and became involved in planning the curriculum for the first Bosma Focus Group. She was the instructor for the pilot group and remained the instructor as well as the coordinator of the Focus Group until 2006.
Kathy is presently back in her original position as Personal Management
Instructor at the Rehabilitation Center. She has a total of 24 years teaching experience in the field of Vision Rehabilitation and while on her hiatus continued to work independently with people who are visually impaired.

Kathy has a husband and three teenage children. In her spare time she enjoys time with her family, reading, walking, and crocheting. Kathy is also involved in her children’s school, as well as their extra curricular activities.
