CVRT®, Communications Instructor

As a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist (CVRT®) by the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP), Katrina (Kathy) Anderson is a Communications Instructor at Bosma Rehabilitation Center. Her main job function is to teach clients alternative methods for communication (e.g. Braille, touch typing, use of magnification aids, tape recording, handwriting, etc.), and she occasionally teaches personal management skills. Collecting and sharing resources that are of interest to individuals who are blind or visually impaired also keeps Katrina quite busy.
Katrina offers a special insight to her clients who are learning to function with a visual impairment. After spending a majority of her life with partial vision, she became totally blind in 1994.
