Recreation and Leisure

Rehabilitation Center clients have opportunities to participate in field trips that allow them to be more active in the community and in their home environment.  Some past opportunities have included sailing, water skiing, bowling, and a trip to the Indiana State Fair.  In addition to periodic field trips, the last hour of each Friday in the Rehabilitation Center is dedicated to recreational games. All of these activities combined give the individual who is newly blinded or visually impaired the opportunity to realize he or she may still participate in social activities whether it is at home, with family and friends, or part of a larger organization.  Everyone has fun on Games Friday!
