MSW, Personal Adjustment Counselor

In 2006 Shawn was hired as the Adjustment Counselor for Bosma’s Rehabilitation Center. Shawn assists clients with the psychological and emotional adjustment of living with vision loss by providing individual and group counseling, along with case management and other related services.
Born visually impaired and losing the remainder of his sight at the age of 12, Shawn is able to provide Rehab Center clients with a unique perspective on learning to live with vision loss.
Experience
Shawn has practiced Social Work in a variety of settings as a Medical Social Worker, case manager, School Social Worker and director of social service ministry.

A holdover from his high school days, Shawn remains very active in sports and participates in cycling, beep baseball and whitewater rafting. In his free time he enjoys watching sports, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and serving as a small group leader in his church.
